Foundry Team Members are responsible for pouring molten steel into an investment cast molding using both manual and automatic pouring processes.  Foundry Team Members also use equipment such as, but not limited to, Autoclave, Cut Off Saws, Cranes & Lifts, Media Blasting Material, Pulleys & Automated Processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read traveler document to verify what metal is to be used for each order
  • Operate VIP equipment to control melting temperature
  • Add new and recycled steel to pot to prepare for molten pour
  • Use VIP probe to verify temperature before pouring
  • Manual and Automatic Pouring of steel
  • Complete paperwork associated with parts and VIP
  • Clean equipment and work area after completing shift
  • Autoclave area, using Cut Off Saw removing excess investment casting material
  • Push and Pull on the Foundry Pour Team, Canning, and Oven
  • Loading and Unloading Cooling Tunnel
  • Using Automatic Processes to Cut off with Saw and Shake Out Machinery
  • Salt Spray Solution testing
  • Sand Blasting of raw casting material

Minimum Educational and Work Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/High School Equivalency
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
